Over the Easter holiday I was sick-in-bed for a good 48 hours. During those 48 hours, the only possible way I could figure to entertain myself was to mentally remodel my entire house--as mentioned in previous posts. I've since reached out to a few carpenters, contractors, and jacks-of-all-trades to price out just how much it's going to cost me to execute the visions that have been dancing in my head. Final verdict: a lot.
While I really really really want custom built-in bookshelves, I have to level with myself. Is it worth it? I don't see myself living in my current place for more than a few more years--at most. That being said, do the pros really outweigh the cons? The penny pincher inside of me is pushing for this, less costly (by a good bit, mind you), option. AND, I can take it with me whenever the time comes for me to move. AND it matches my dresser. AND....can you tell I'm trying to convince myself it's a good idea?
While you may be thinking to yourself, "That plain and boring." Close your eyes, and imagine it with a few embellishments.
Remember this post? With the addition of a few of these...
And perhaps backed with something along the lines of this.
I think that will come together quite nicely, don't you?
Now...all I need is someone to put together this fine piece of fabulocity. I have a feeling that after tackling my dresser, RB is not going to be up for this challenge.
