Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm off to the beach, but before I go, I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite things from the week!

[1] Last week, I took not one, but TWO of Lauren Essl's calligraphy classes.  She's an amazing teacher and it was so fun to [attempt to] learn something new.  My calligraphy skills are not yet honed well enough for public viewing, but hopefully after some practice I'll at least be able to write my own name.  Hopefully. For class information, be sure to check out her website here.

[2] I loved Martha Lynn Kale's "Trend to Try: Birkenstocks" post this week!  She, along with the help of stylist, Cristina Facundo, and Austin's Etcetera boutique, shared four easy-to-replicate ways to style the trend-of-the-moment Birkenstocks.  I'm digging this look below, but to see more style options, check out her post here.

[3] How cute is this yarn-wrapped horseshoe from Marley and Alfie?  Lonny Magazine featured them this week, and I'm obsessed!  These would make a great housewarming, adding a little bit of luck [which we could all use] to any space.

[4] My friend Kara sent me the link to these darling Hidden Quote Pie Plates, and I'm eager to attempt to recreate one!  I love the idea of having a hidden message after that last piece of pie.  [Great...all of this pie talk, and now I want some Royer's!]

[5]  Music festival season is in full swing, and that can only mean one thing: I'm in full outfit-planning mode.  If you follow me on Pinterest, you've probably noticed my incessant pinning of gladiator sandals, bucket bags, and witty graphic tees.  I'm headed to Chicago for Lollapalooza in two weeks, so the search is on for the perfect festival ensemble.  To see what I've found thus far, check out my 'Festival  Gear' board here.  Oh, and stay tuned for Lolla style posts!

Get this Queen Bey shirt here.  You know it's awesome.
